Keller Furniture has evolved from its agricultural and industrial roots to establish itself, at the beginning of the 21st Century, as one of the top names in solid wood home furnishings. The key to Keller's growth and longevity is a faithfulness to its old world heritage. Though equally important, is the artful manner in which Keller Manufacturing combines the latest advances in technology with the old world methods. Keller grew and annual sales had surpassed $8 million and Keller needed more factory space. To increase distribution efficiency along the eastern seaboard, a 180,000 square foot manufacturing facility was built in Culpeper, Virginia. In 1973, Keller reached $20 million in sales and a third plant was built in New Salisbury, Indiana. Through the 1980s and into the 1990s, Keller's combination of a handcrafted solid wood product with a unique 7-step finish that incorporated a high tech protective coat, helped to further establish its marketing position. By using these methods, Keller makes some of the strongest chairs of the 21st Century. At the turn of the millennium The Keller Manufacturing Company, Inc. had evolved into one of the nation's leading manufacturers of solid wood bedroom, dining, and occasional furniture. According to Furniture Design & Manufacturing Magazine, as of 1999, Keller Manufacturing was ranked 106th in sales among all furniture manufacturers in North America. Keller Furniture is sold through middle to upper-middle priced retailers in all 50 United States and Canada; Keller also has limited distribution in Japan, Europe, and the Middle East.
